Glossary
Custodial Wallet
Wallets managed by Brale's MPC infrastructure, where Brale manages the private key. Custodial wallets are automatically available to custody assets on all supported blockchains. Customers can choose to mint stablecoins to Brale's custodial wallets, or to self-custody wallets.
Deployment
Stablecoins can be issued on all supported blockchains. Deployments are the chain-specific ID of the stablecoin asset or smart contract. For example, SBC on Ethereum. When minting or redeeming, the API requires the specific chain deployment of the stablecoin to increase or decrease supply on that blockchain.
Funding-Deployment
When minting a branded stablecoin funded with USDC or USDP, the funding-deployment
is the chain-specific ID of the stablecoin you'd like to use. Mints can be funded with native USDC on Ethereum, Polygon, and Avalanche, Celo, Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, and Solana. USDP on Solana can also be used.
Payment-Deployment
When redeeming a branded stablecoin to USDC or USDP, the payment-deployment
is the chain-specific ID of the stablecoin you'd like to receive. You can redeem a stablecoin to native USDC on Ethereum, Polygon, and Avalanche, Celo, Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, and Solana. USDP on Solana is also supported.
Financial Institution
Bank accounts that have been added to your account to receive USD when redeeming stablecoins.
Mint
Fund new stablecoins with USD, USDC, or USDP, and increase supply on-chain.
Redemption
Remove stablecoins from circulation by burning the supply, and receive USD into a specified bank account or a supported stablecoin, such as USDC or USDP, into a specified wallet.
